2013 Annual IJF Summit

The Illinois Joining Forces (IJF) 2013 Annual Summit will give you the opportunity to work directly with fellow leaders across the state to celebrate the current work of IJF and focus on your priorities for the year ahead.  In addition to the Summit, we are offering an optional Military/Veteran 101 Training on December 11th, scroll down for more information.

Understand the different branches of the Armed Forces
Understand the missions of the Guard and Reserve Components
Understand the rituals, ethos and Creed of the different branches of the Armed Forces
9:45am  Emotional Cycle of Deployment
Identify the stages of deployment:  Pre-deployment, deployment, moving into reunion, and reunion.
Understand the emotional effects of these stages on families, service members, spouses, and children.
Review some coping tips for managing stress during the different stages.
